The VCM Foundation is a vocal music education charity that brings the power of singing to communities around the world. Their professional ensembles – VOCES8 and Apollo5 – tour globally performing 200 concerts a year.
VOCES8 performs an extensive repertory both in its a cappella concerts and in collaborations with leading orchestras, conductors and soloists. Versatility and a celebration of diverse musical expression are central to the ensemble’s performance and education ethos.
With an on-going programme of recordings, videos and live broadcasts, VOCES8 is heard regularly on international television and radio.
The international award-winning British vocal ensemble Apollo5 delights audiences with versatile and engaging performances on the concert platform, singing repertoire ranging from renaissance, classical and contemporary choral music to folk, jazz and pop.
VCM is passionate about engaging young people through singing.
The annual programme of education work overseen by the Foundation reaches more than 40,000 people around the world each year in partnership with Music Hubs, schools and communities.
In just the first three months of 2019 VOCES8, Apollo5 and the Foundation’s CEO, Paul Smith have led workshops for a cappella ensembles in the United States, Dubai, France and England.
